Features
The ETXa utilises the features and advantages of the ETX basic truck, the Jungheinrich 'man-down' side-seated high-rack stacker. This means that, in principle, the automation of existing high-bay racking systems is just as feasible as new-build warehouses. It is also possible to retrofit trucks already in operation with an automated system.
If the warehouse is planned as a fully automated warehouse from the outset, the man-down ETXa has advantages over the related man-up model, because energy is saved by doing away with lifting the operator's cab and its associated weight reduction.
Flexible use by changing between manual/semi-automatic/automatic. You benefit from the many advantages of the basic truck. Automation is possible in several stages, giving you 'familiarisation phases' and flexibility in budgeting and optimising operating costs.
Wear is reduced in comparison with purely manual operation.
Its cornering ability enables the Jungheinrich ETXa to reach any location within the high-bay racking.
Even with an existing racking system, you can develop the advantages of automation with the ETXa.
The basis for the automation is the proven ETX high-rack stacker. Many of the standard options available for this truck, such as on-board charging, various load handlers (telescopic forks or swivelling side-shift attachments) etc., can also be used in automated operation. Additional components such as automated control computers, fine positioning systems, curve control and centring/contour control for load units facilitate full automation. The ETXa communicates with system management and control systems via WLAN technology. The reliable wire guidance technology which the basic truck already has ensures that the ETXa is able to move reliably and safely anywhere in the warehouse at any time.
