คุณสมบัติพิเศษ
A WLAN infrastructure enables the real-time linking of employees with radio data terminals or other WLAN-compatible components to your network and, consequently, also to your warehouse management system / ERP system. In all areas where there is WLAN availability, employees are able to move freely without losing the network connection. This is made possible by the 'roaming' between radio access points.
Based on your requirements, Jungheinrich plans optimally dimensioned, future-proof WLAN infrastructures with in-house employees. To do this, it uses high-quality, industry-standard WLAN components from Cisco or Motorola.
WLAN planning (simulation)
To obtain an initial rough estimate of the required number and position of radio access points, a simulation is generated on the basis of the warehouse layout. The absorption of the WLAN propagation by warehouse structures (racking, goods and walls) can be roughly determined. The real behaviour after installation can be determined with a restricted precision of approx. +/- 20%. In addition, already existing WLAN access points in the warehouse or from neighbouring companies cannot be taken into account. In small warehouses, the simulation is often sufficient as the basis for planning. A system and performance analysis is recommended as a final examination.
WLAN planning (radio measurement)
To carry out radio measurement, individual radio access points are suspended at previously planned positions and recorded using measurement technology. The next position is determined depending on the range. This is continued until the entire warehouse offers sufficient WLAN availability. The final documentation defines the required number of radio access points as well as specific assembly points (optionally also with photo documentation).
Radio measurement provides the best results when warehouse structures/racking are already constructed and filled. However, in a new warehouse the WLAN system is often required when the racking is constructed but not yet filled. If there are already Jungheinrich or other WLAN radio access points in place, an inventory (system and performance analysis) should be carried out prior to the planning.
WLAN inspection (system and performance analysis)
A WLAN system and performance analysis is the inspection of an existing WLAN infrastructure. In the final documentation (optional with photo documentation), all WLAN parameters are shown, problems identified and optimisation measures defined. If Jungheinrich radio data solutions (radio data terminals, warehouse navigation etc.) are to connected to external WLAN infrastructures, a system and performance analysis is highly recommended in order to ensure the WLAN availability and transmission quality. Subsequent optimisation is often only possible at great expense or not at all.
